Justin Petraglia has been in the fitness industry for over a decade. He holds multiple nationally accredited industry certifications including National Academy of Sports Medicine and National Federation of Personal Trainers, has completed the East Coast Instructor Training School and is also a USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Fordham University and has trained under leading doctors, chiropractors and therapists within the industry. He has helped write Continuing Education Courses and was a co-contributor for the National Federation Personal Trainer’s current certification manual. Justin has worked with all types of clients, from all walks of life ranging, from Olympic athletes to post surgery patients. An avid reader, he keeps up to date by attending various industry lectures, workshops and seminars on a regular basis. He has lectured alongside doctors as an exercise science expert on a variety of topics, such as corporate wellness, ACL prevention for men and women, and sports specific training and periodization. He has trained a variety of high school, college and professional athletes, including those in UFC, MLB, MLS, NPC and IFBB. Justin is the President and Assistant Coach of The Institute Of Heavy Training. He is a former Adidas All-State soccer player, a lifetime, drug free bodybuilder, member and competitor of the USAW and has had the opportunity to train with a variety of Olympic coaches.
Chris Petraglia has been in the fitness industry for nearly a decade. He is certified by the National Federation of Professional Trainers, is a NFPT Master Trainer and is a USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. He is the regional director for NFPT and is responsible for teaching and certifying trainers in the New York area. His specialties include baseball specific training, post surgical rehabilitation, postural assessments, functional rehabilitation, and weight loss. Chris has trained alongside Olympic Sprinters and Weightlifters and professional athletes including major and minor league baseball players. He trains the number 3 ranked Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter in the world (at the 156 lb weight class). He has created strength and conditioning programs for premier baseball programs and coached players that were drafted to Division 1 and Minor League teams including Florida Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels. While in college, Chris won a division title as a pitcher.
